The Sumitomo Type-82C+ is a high-definition, core-alignment fiber optic fusion splicing machine engineered for backbone networks and field deployments. Powered by NanoTune™ AI, it delivers ultra-fast performance with a 5-second splice time and an 8-second heating cycle, while maintaining very low splice loss (~0.01 dB for SMF). Its rugged design features a 5.0″ touch-screen, IP52-level dust and water resistance, and drop protection from 76 cm. The built-in high-capacity battery supports up to 320 splice + heat cycles, while dual independent ovens and flexible clamps enhance versatility. It supports automatic fiber identification (SM, MM, DSF, NZDSF, BIF, etc.), stores up to 10,000 splice records, and connects to SumiCloud™ for remote maintenance and software updates.
